NEC Display Solutions releases remote management software

NEC Display Solutions Europe has announced a new version of its remote management and monitoring software to control and monitor different NEC display devices, including projectors, desktop monitors and large format displays. NaViSet Administrator 2 helps organisations to reduce technical support costs and improve display and projector control by remotely administering installed NEC products.

NaViSet Administrator 2 is an all-in-one remote support solution to control the majority of NEC display devices on Windows computers. It is ideal for managing any multi-device installations in larger environments, for example in corporate/large businesses, and the aviation, energy and utility, finance, leisure and museum, retail and transportation industries.

Through an easy-to-use and sophisticated graphical user interface (GUI), businesses can reduce their administration effort and costs by remotely diagnosing and correcting technological issues.

System administrators and IT personnel can also take a proactive approach toward the maintenance of projector lamps, filters and fan cleaning to gain better control of all their NEC assets. NaViSet Administrator 2 proactively informs users about critical display conditions, and allows detailed analyses about the devices used in order to reduce downtimes and failure rates effectively.

NaViSet Administrator 2 is in line with NEC’s Green Vision by supporting different eco modes, turning off displays automatically and adapting brightness to environmental conditions.

The NaViSet Administrator 2 software is designed to run from a central location and provides monitoring, asset management and control functionality of remote displays via LAN or serial connections. It can run continuously to provide automatic monitoring and control of devices, while alerts can be set when specified parameters within the display device are changed.

Furthermore, the remote management software includes comprehensive report creation as well as data import and export functionality, to facilitate asset management. Its advanced device monitoring and logging features enable remote diagnostics and failure alerting, while the task function simplifies the automation of device management through predefined commands, queries and alerts sent via e-mail.
